Meet the Limings
Mark Liming was raised on a farm in Felicity, Ohio. Farming has become his life's work. He runs and farms his property, farms at the main family farm and rents some land in the Felicity/Bethel area. Mark along with wife, Tricia and two sons, Clinton and Brett bought their own farm in 2007 in Bethel, Ohio which is not far from the main Liming family farm, where his parents live.
Our farm consists of our home, beef cattle, some sheep, dogs and cats, several barns, hay/straw baling equipment and acres of farmland for corn, soybeans, wheat and hay. You can often find us in the evenings hanging out in the quiet of our front porch. We usually have a family vegetable garden and flower beds to enjoy in the summer.
The beef cattle are a Limousin breed or Limousin crossbreeds. There are usually many cow-calf pairs around the farm. Baby calves are so much fun to watch play.
Our sheep are Finn breed known for their wool, multiple births and milk production. The sheep are mainly (Tricia's) pets, but we do sell the wool from each shearing. We are always considering that expansion to the flock. Sheep raising is still relatively new to us and has definitely been a learning situation.
Clinton and Brett in their high school years were very active in 4-H. Clinton was active in FFA even achieving the highest degree in FFA, the American degree. Every year we had their 4-H animals, mainly cattle and pigs. Our farm was a blessing and a great area for working, bathing and preparing animals for fair.
Clinton is a 2019 graduate of the Ohio State University in Beef Production. He just recently moved back from Northern Ohio to help on the farm. He owns cattle and works at a stockyard facility. He also owns the baling equipment on the farm, and you can learn more about it by going to his tab, "Clinton's Custom Bales".
Brett completed his Architectural Engineering degree at the University of Cincinnati in May 2023. Brett married his best friend, Brittany in July 2023 adding another member to the family.
